Athanor is a firm specializing in designing and producing custom-made stoves and kitchen units.
Located in IZEAUX (Rhone Alpes area) in France between Lyon and Grenoble, and heir to 60 years of experience, the company combines traditional conception and high-technology to provide bespoke cooking outfit that reflect their customers' aspirations.

The Athanor management has worked in the field of professional catering for 20 years and is renowned in the French and International fine-dining sector. They are at your entire disposal to guide you, that is to study, analyse, imagine and organise your kitchen around its key element, enabling to cope with the coup de feu : the "piano".
A little bit of history…
Etymologically Athanor is the product of the Arabic « al » (cauldron) « tan » (oven) and « nour » (fire): The suite of fire.
A name used by alchemists for an oven designed in such a way as to produce a gentle and even heat over a long period.
In pursuit of their goals they used an Athanor in which they placed a container called an «Egg» which contained material from the philosopher's stone.
